Design Destination: Millbrook, New York

Our Home & Garden team is taking it on the road to scout out the best home and décor shops and share design inspiration and ideas for your home décor and elegant entertaining! First up: Millbrook, New York.

Millbrook conjures up images of horses lazing in paddocks dotting the rolling hills, throwback foxhunts, and stately country homes. This charming village in the Hudson Valley is a 90-minute drive north of New York City, yet lightyears away. It is home to a thriving equestrian community and lifestyle, and an impressive enclave of talented designers.

It’s the perfect design destination for a day trip or a weekend getaway. We spent a glorious summer day exploring Millbrook’s extraordinary home decor shops for a huge dose of design inspiration. Here’s what we found:

True to its name, this impressive retail establishment is a nod to the grand orangeries of 17th century Europe – filled with exotic plants and an adventurous feeling of discovery. Explore this sophisticated shop and elegant nursery to find stunning plants, impeccable topiaries, unique accents for the garden and home, and luxurious tabletop décor. The perfect source for chic living and memorable entertaining.

Take home something fabulous to brighten up your life! Spitzmiller recently started Designer Tag Sales at Clove Brook Farm, so be sure to follow him for not-to-miss insider finds.
